Shared (12-hours use) Exclusive (24/7 use) Responsibilities We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate holds a Finance/Accounting degree and is familiar with accounting software packages, like Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, etc. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.Key Responsibilities and Duties Tag and monitor fixed assets Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices Pay any debt as it comes due for payment Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants Issue invoices to customers Collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the government Ensure that receivables are collected promptly Record cash receipts and make bank deposits Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account Conduct periodic reconciliation of all accounts to ensure their accuracy Issue financial statements Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company's financial statements Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements Maintain and orderly accounting filing system Maintain the chart of accounts Maintain the annual budget Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements Process payroll in a timely manner Other Other Responsibilities Requirements Description (Optional) Pro Proven bookkeeping experience Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software Proficiency in English and in MS Office Customer service orientation and negotiation skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration Other Other Pro Optional RequirementsOptional requirements are negotiable skill-sets that are an advantage if applicant possess it.
